I write NEN text and then it jumps back and my text continues writing further back that can't continue so I think the touchpad is responsible. Laptop is a Fujitsu P771
you have to install drivers or why is that
Disable the touchpad to see if it's on it. Many laptops have their own button that you activate with the FN key.
Especially with cheap notebooks, the touchpads are sometimes too sensitive. Not only accidental touches of the palm of your hand, even the jarring while writing, some may already irritate.
I like to use https://touchpad-blocker.com/download/ with every notebook I use to reduce this error rate. Using the application, I lock the touchpad for, for example, a quarter to half second when a keystroke has been registered. This is enough to prevent any access to the pad during a regular write flow. Once I'm done typing, the touchpad is again usable to perform control commands.
Automated saves you the constant on and off via keyboard shortcut or even by menu command. If I use a mouse in parallel, I block the touchpad completely.
