Benchmarks are all well and good, but I'd like to hear a few testimonials from people who have been using their laptop with both SSDs and eMMCs. On my PC I have recently retrofitted an SSD in addition to the HDD. The tempo boost was extremely huge. Is the same boost seen with an SSD compared to an eMMC?
I'm not so sure yet, because smartphones have finally built eMMCs, as far as I know. I would like to buy a laptop and would like to know if it pays to spend a little more money.
What about the boot times? Start programs much faster and what is the overall performance? Could you recommend an SSD or could you save at this point?
I think there's hardly any improvement.
You can't retrofit because they are soldered to the motherboard.
I would just take a laptop with ssd, with me the Windows boot is 2 seconds.
It's about a new laptop. Why do you specifically recommend an SSD, if you think that there's little difference?
Because it is cheaper
