A colleague has let me bring a "new" notebook (win10) to Thailand. However, he could not resist playing with it… But he had "zeroed" everything again as he says.
Now comes the login prompt "other user". Both the entry of his microsoft username + password and mine will be acknowledged as false. Since no administrator is set up, I have nothing to access… No access to command prompt and other help programs is possible.
Can I just scrap the device?
On a second PC first check the MS account, if necessary. Change PW, to unlock the account again.
Thanks for the answer
this has already been done… Both MS accounts are unlocked with the same password. Is it perhaps something useful to determine a new password?
If the PW is not accepted, I would keep an eye on the keyboard layout. I would assign a new PW, without special characters, only numbers and letters. Especially no umlauts!
If necessary. Put the PW in the user's field to see what the keyboard is doing.
The password can be made visible for a short time… The keyboard is entered correctly
Windows 10 USB stick in, start from this and immediately flatten the box.
Custom install delete all partitions.

8GB USB stick is enough.
Thank you: )
… There were all sorts of problems while loading the tool… But finally hats worked alternately with other win10 tablet and win7 notebook… The only question is whether now the free license that the new notebook with the purchase had become ineffective…
No, of course not, you can make it as often as you want.
The digital license, however, was linked to the ms account of the colleague… I have one from another device on the ms-account. Is this also effective with this new device? Or is the license fixed in the device?
If the original was shipped with Windows 10, the license belongs to this calculator, if not, just buy a key Windows 10 Home already exists for 10 euro on eBay. If there should be problems just make a message.
