Would like to overclock my old Lappi
Therefore my question: Is it possible with the laptop, and would it be worth it at all?
Stay away from overclocking laptops, the cooling is already running at the default settings at its vomit limit and with overclocking you land
at best only in thermal throttling> So your computer is slower than the standard clock
At worst, you will break your hardware with it.
No, you can't operate this CPU in the OC.
It doesn't make sense either, you wouldn't even notice 10% more with the cucumber.
My i5-8300H also overclocked automatically on my HP notebook
From Max.45W to 65Watt (TDP) but then it's over! (80-90 degrees)
I'm not doing anything!
It depends on you download Core Temp let Cine Beach R20 and post a screenhot of Core Temp
There's no better way to put it
I would leave that with a laptop.
The cooling is usually very, very scarce anyway.
And for most laptops, the components are already OC ex works
You can try it but then very very carefully and expect it to break.
And set the fans to 100%
You shouldn't overclock this old A10 CPU. If you still want to use the device productively, you should better leave it. Most of the time you can't do that, because these CPUs are mostly locked.
PS: Stay away from the FSB and the Baseclock, unless you no longer use the device! Even if you succeed, the impact is minimal and the laptop will get very hot!
