Can I overclock my system?

I recently made a short circuit while trying to solder an old RGB strip that a friend left in my case and roasted my motherboard. Now I have to buy a new motherboard and would like to use the occasion a bit to overclock (especially Cpu and Gpu). When I configured my system, I did not plan to overclock, so I opted for a "cheap" A320 board (AS Rock A320m Pro). Now I would like to know if the rest of my system (components are down) ever overklocking allows and if so what a board with which chipset at what price (I would be something dear to the 70 euro) I should buy / would have.

My system:

Ryzen 5 1600
16 gb Ballistix sport 2400 MhZ
GTX 1060 6gb from Gigabyte
Be Quiet Pure Power 10 400w
Be Quiet Pure Rock Slim CPU Cooler
Be Quiet Pure Wings 2 Case Fans (3x)

The case goods are two in the front and one in the back and the Cpu cooler is installed with the amd base clamp and the fan down over the cpu (I would have inserted a picture but my laptop is spinning)

Basically yes, but the power supply could cause problems due to low power.

Th

No!

Th

Of course that is possible.

However, this board does not support overclocking the CPU, and you probably think so.

A graphics card can always be overclocked, which hardly brings anything. RAM can also be overclocked as a rule.

sn

Did you even read the question? He says his old board has burned out and he wants to get a new one to overclock. And which is suitable for it.

sn

Why should not the power supply be enough?

Th

Are you right, have probably skipped the first sentence, thank you.

Th

Edit: Would you recommend an MSI B350 Pro VDH or an AsRock B450 Pro4 AMD. This is enough to overclock a normal Ryzen 5. The 450 has the newer BIOS and a few improvements compared to the previous series.

st

400Watt is not overdone for this system anyway. If the system is overclocked now it comes close or over the power limit, which is not conducive to the power supply and if the power is exceeded, the system crashes.

Ma

A320 board are absolutely scrap and are actually only used in finished PC. Anyone who builds a PC uses at least a B350. And why? Because you can overclock at least with a b350. That is NOT possible with an A320.

Next time maybe 10 euro more in the hand

The system probably weighs about 250W probably a little less. So he would loose 100W open

Why should the power supply is not enough even ne Vega 56 you could shoot purely
