Can you change your processor in a laptop?

I heard recently that one can change in a laptop processors (not socket). Is that possible? If so, then someone can link me to a page where you can buy a processor for my socket because I can't find my money and can't spend on a new PC. My Toster Specs:

AMD A8-7410 APU (FP4 socket) AMD readon r5 Series 10 GB Ram

Yes, you can with some models. Just depends on whether the CPU is soldered or not.

In your case that should be possible, but why do you want to change? There's no CPU for this socket, which is a bit good for gaming… In addition, the graphics card anyway plays the bigger role.

Just to make my laptop better. I do not care about 4K gaming, but sometimes I play such games as Minecraft and Payday 2. In addition I hope for more fps. But I can't find 3 GHZ for sale.

Th

Even for such games, that will not do much. The strongest CPU would probably be an A12 9730p (no guarantee), but you have to look in the specifications of the motherboard if it's running on it, maybe a BIOS update is necessary. Windows reinstallation also highly recommended.

In my opinion, an intervention that is not worthwhile. It may be that the mentioned games run smoothly, but the graphics unit is still far too weak compared to the recommended graphics cards at Payday 2. (Your current processor has a Radeon 5 graphics unit, an A12 a Radeon 7 unit). Compared with the recommended GTX 460:

So I can play with a few mods payday 2 with 40 - 50 fps. But yes, you're right, it probably would not be worth it, but how about some tools that could help?

Th

Unfortunately, tools do not help. Just look that in the startup unnecessary programs are not started and while playing all unneeded application are closed.

You can read times with MSI Afterburner and Riva tuner the loadings whether the CPU or the iGPU limited. If it is the graphics unit, then the upgrade could bring something. But as I said, I would rather save on a current computer. The upgrade in your case would probably bring something, so if you feel like tinkering a bit I do not want to stop you.

I'm creative so I will try my best. Thank's for the Tipps!

All right, no problem!
