I want to buy a notebook, but I don't know if this graphics card is good.
Here are some hardware data from the PC:
Processor number: i7-10510U
Processor clock frequency: 1.80 GHz
Number of processor cores: 4
Number of threads: 8
Processor clock frequency with turbo: 4.80 GHz
RAM type: DDR4
Storage: SSD M.2 via PCIe
Memory size: 512 GB
Screen resolution: 1,920 x 1,080 pixels
LED backlight: yes
Image quality: Full HD
Screen diagonal (cm): 39.62 cm Screen diagonal (inch): 15.6 inch Aspect ratio: 16: 9
It is not suitable for gaming. For office etc. Yes.
How about Minecraft, for example? (Pocket Edition)
This is a mobile graphics solution for entry-level laptops. Add to that the small memory of 2GB. Nothing more can be said about this, as you make a secret of what you expect from your laptop and what you want to use it for.

For a normal user (surfing the Internet, office work, …) it should be enough. For more demanding things such as B. You won't be happy with graphic design or gaming.
If you really only want to do the bare essentials on the notebook, the graphics card is acceptable.
Well, it could just go like this. But whether that's fun…
Here is a comparison with a slow GK of the penultimate generation:

This graphic is hopelessly out of date!
And apparently the notebook itself, too.
If you give us more data about this notebook, we can tell you more.
So: CPU, RAM expansion, HDD / SSD? Screen resolution and diagonal.
And please also the price. Especially with a used device.
And what do you want to do with it?
In a relatively current notebook, which is also a little bit suitable for gaming, e.g. A mobile version of the GTX 1650 (4GB) installed. And usually also a display with FullHD, which reduces the gaming suitability a little again.

But then you have to have a suitable 4/4 or 4/8 core CPU.
The MX250 (2GB) itself would bring enough gaming performance for a screen resolution of approx. 1280x800.
A more modern GTX 750 (2GB) or 750ti (2GB) would be a roughly equivalent or better alternative in a notebook.

But please no "GT" model! These are not suitable for games. "GTX" indicates game graphics.
With the technical data of the notebook requested above, you could possibly get some rough estimates here:
https://systemanforderungen.com/
Please see the results there only as a possible trend! In practice, "certain" tolerances can occur.
And especially with notebooks, the entire technology is designed for economy rather than performance.
. This is a GTX MX250. It's been out for a year at most.
This is a notebook graphics card that is comparable to entry-level desktop graphics cards. Sufficient for easy games. It is not a gaming graphics card but it runs Fortnite, Overwatch etc. And is significantly better than the integrated graphics unit of the Intel CPU.
Don't be fooled by the naming. As if the notebook manufacturer has taken a 10-series Intel CPU that has been out for a year at most and then packs in an ancient GPU.
He's not really a gaming laptop. Is probably more of a laptop for university.
The MX250 extends from e.g. To be able to play Fortnite or Overwatch, but for pure gaming I would rather get something else
GTX 750 and modern. I think you're still stuck in 2014.
the 10 Series from Nvidia is still somewhat modern. GTX 1060 or so and of course the 16 and 20 series.
The MX250 is the most up-to-date on the mobile entry-level site.
I thought the mx250 was an old technique.
I hadn't found her on gpuboss.com. And then not looking for details in any other way.
But according to userbenchmark, it almost corresponds to the performance of a GTX 750 (1GB) or 750ti (2GB). And yes, this is technology from 2013 or 2014.
And since I had installed a GTX 750ti myself, I know that it is not a usable GPU for games in FullHD.
I have just found the market release date: 02/21/2019
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-mx250.c3353 0
The part is very energy efficient, but that's about it…
By the way:
When I replied, there were no specifications for the notebook. Only "MX250" was mentioned.
Yes, no problem. Just wanted to have it noted.
As I said, the better alternative to the integrated graphics unit should be. With which you can do something.
Well buddy once had a 750ti and you could play Battlefield 3 in FullHD without any problems. Maybe today's games demand the card more, but for them 30-50 euro how much it costs on eBay you can still get them if the budget is low.
I also recommend the 750ti and the 1050ti for older desktop PCs with weak power supplies. Especially if it was previously only used with the integrated GPU (or similar "strong"). Then an SSD and it almost looks like a new computer.
And the game Battlefield 3 (from 10.2011) no longer poses any hardware challenge:
https://systemanforderungen.com/spiel/battlefield-3
With a C2D-E8500 (2x 3.16GHz), a 750ti, 4GB Ram and Win7 (32) you get a good 50 to over 60FPS at FullHD.
And for a C2Q Q9650 (4x 3.0GHz) with a 1050ti, 8GB Ram and Win10 (64), this game would be almost the equivalent of a better "PacMan"…
