I got a new laptop
Acer Aspire 5 with:
Intel Core i5 - 10210U 4 cores 4 threads at 3.4 GHz
Nvidia GeForce MX250
8GB DDR4 memory
512GB SSD
Now to my question. I only activated the MX250 in the Nvidia settings when the program started, and I turned off the CPU, but it still takes a while for the laptop to play smooth and clean.
All processor cores are also activated.
Skyrim had been the friendly game so far.
Can someone help me?
Usually you then have an anti-virus scanner that first runs through, or steam / origin / uplay and whatever starts up and updates itself. Just have a look at what's going on in the background (task manager). It could be helpful to remove programs from the autostart and what always helps anyway: go into the energy options and set "top performance". If this option does not exist, you still have to activate it. Google tells you how to do that
You may be loading / starting various software while you are playing in the background. Have a look at Task Manager> Start-Up Apps
And remove the ones you don't need right away in the beginning.
This not only makes your PC start up faster, it also frees up a bit of RAM and GPU memory.
Hard to say, i would clean the notebook with compressed air spray and brush and vacuum cleaner. To do this, open the notebook and blow through all the slots and clean and vacuum!
I think you have a heat problem and the fan is no longer running at 100% and everything is dusty.
All autostart programs are checked and the useless ones are all off. The energy option is also on top performance. I have no idea what that should be.
I've already checked
It is not a heat problem, otherwise the game would run worse over time. In his case, things are getting better…
He is now 2 weeks old and is not on blankets or anything but always on a table.
If you open the task manager after the start and do nothing else, how long does it take until cpu and disk usage are around 0%? And if the disk usage is high, you can directly check which program is responsible for it. That could help us further 🤔
Then uninstall the graphics card nvidia times
and get the latest driver without the geforce experience
simply uninstall everything from nvidia and deactivate the telemetry services using a small download program, this saves resources.
and then just install the pure driver without geforce experience
and then look…
