I have a question that is a laptop of mine (not in the picture but same model) broken out at the marked corner. One can push the black down again and again but it keeps coming up so that a gap is created. Unfortunately, this gap is created between the housing and the DVD compartment. I'm now afraid because the laptop is open with a housing 3B laser is present (otherwise class 1wenn housing too), that this represents a danger to the eyes. I looked around a bit today and have since felt worse. Should I drive to the eye clinic?
As you can see in the picture, the corner always breaks out where the arrow is.
Where is there a danger? The laser beam hits the cd, nothing else
The laser only runs when the drive is in operation. And then he should shine in your eyes what you would have noticed.
If you're so scared: Stick the gap with electrical tape.
Wtf?
If you have something to say then do it!
The question sounds so strange
Have heard times, the DVD drive has again its own shell so even if you completely removed, nothing can happen. Is that correct?
Not the first strange question I have read here:-))
To damage your eyes, the DVD drive must be free and the laser aimed at you laser only spread in one direction
Again very slowly for you…
the laser beam is aligned to hit the cd. If the inside and the drive is active, the beam hits the cd and can't penetrate to the outside. If there's no cd in it, the laser will not be active at all.
understood everything?
oh yes… If you remove it the connection to the board is disconnected, then your cd drive is just as harmless as a bag of gummi bears
Cd, DVD and also BluRay work with visible laser light. If you had something in your eyes, you would have seen it.
If light came out of the gap, you could see it on a white paper held over it - the light reflected or scattered by the paper is harmless.
