Must be on the go.
It's enough for my wishes;)
Not a very helpful answer…
These are all that come into question for me:
https://geizhals.de/...&bpmax=980
What I have done
I chose display sizes from 14 to 16 inches. 13 is already very small and 17 is already huge if you want to travel with it.
Screen To Body Ratio must be over 70%. That simply means that the laptop is more than 70% screen and the rest is body.
Display resolution from Full HD and 16: 9. Simply so that you have a smart resolution.
I set RAM to 8GB and above. (16 GB would still be wiser for gaming here)
Hard disk M.2 Ssd with at least 480GB memory. I chose M.2 so that it doesn't take up unnecessary space in the laptop and it is lighter.
GPU should be a dedicated one that has at least 4Gb VRam.
The battery should have at least 50 Wh so that you have a little battery on the go. The more you have here, the better. Even 70-90Wh would be best.
I once limited the price to 980 euro, maybe there will be nu something nice
Weight is limited to 2.4 kg, although that is a lot to carry. About 2 kg would be more comfortable.
Actually, I recommend the brands, something like Dell or Lenovo. These brands are mostly of very good quality.
Other brands often have laptop ranges that are cheaply built. You have to be very careful. However, these brands also have a few good quality laptops.
Here is a list of my recommendations (sorted by price):
https://geizhals.de/...loc=de&v=e with GTx 1650 TI, otherwise the same as the one below.
https://geizhals.de/...loc=de&v=e GTX 1650 (without TI). Weighs only 2.3 kg. And the battery even has 60Wh.
https://geizhals.de/...loc=de&v=e has only 1.9 KG! Also Vienna 1650Ti. A Ryzen processor. And 62 Wh battery.
If you can live with 8GB RAM there are still the following options:
https://geizhals.de/...loc=de&v=e Thin. Ram Upgradable. So if it's not enough for you… But it has a MaxQ GPU, which is not so nice, for gaming. Weighs only 1.8Kg
https://geizhals.de/...loc=de&v=e 68Wh battery! RAM is an upgrade bar. Except for 32GB! So if it is not enough for you, you can put more in.
I wouldn't recommend anything more.
I'd get a Lenovo or a Dell. If Lenovo, the more expensive with the 1650 TI.
I think the Dell G5 would even be better. It has the largest battery and RAM is upgradeable.
What do you think of the Asus Zenbook 14 Pro?
The thing has mostly inferior components and a very small display.
Compared:
The asus Zenbook only has a 60Hz display. And only 8GB of RAM soldered on means you can't swap out RAM and you're always stuck at 8GB!
Processor is also worse.
Graphics card is also worse.
The battery and weight are good for that.
For the components, the thing should cost something like 600-700 euro. Is just overpriced.
If you want something light but still good, there are really only MacBooks or the Dell XPS 15 series. (But both cost well over 800-900 euro.)
The Dell G5 is still my favorite at the price.
It just depends on whether appearance and weight are more important to you than performance.
if you want both, you pay 1400 euro.
Can you recommend a good Mac for up to 1100.
I also have an iphone, maybe that would be good because you can connect.
How about a McBook Air M1?
What exactly are you going to do with your laptop?
You have to be aware that you can't game on a Mac. (Or almost not)
Video editing is first class on the Mac.
Cut videos
Office
Program
Gaming not really every now and then, but I already have a PC
Yes, then a MacBook is enough.
What kind of stuff are you programming right now?
Cell phone apps? IOS / Android?
Server? C #, Java, or anything else?
scripts in Python, C ++ etc,?
Because not everything from C # works on Mac OS, otherwise I think every programming language works.
Right now learning HTML, CSS, PHP and SQL.
So program websites.
I want to look elsewhere after that. So program in the direction of apps.
Which model do you recommend to me, let's say for 1100-1200 euro
Fits. Me too, later a few models from apple and other brands, where I think they might fit you. Around 6:20 pm I have time for it.
Many Thanks!
Do you have time right now?
Sorry I'm currently in the military (as a soldier) and I'm a bit stressful right now.
If I have something, I'll get in touch. But it will be more Friday or the weekend.
So, here a https://geizhals.de/...loc=de&v=e or the whole thing with an Intel processor https://geizhals.de/...loc=de&v=e.
then a https://geizhals.de/...loc=de&v=e.
Or if you want one with a high screen to body ratio: https://geizhals.de/...loc=de&v=e.
So the new MacBook is only available in 13 inches. So it's very small. And not really suitable for work.
if you want to get a MacBook, I would wait for September / October until the bigger Macs come with the new Apple chip.
Otherwise the Intel Macs. But they're just more expensive than 1200 euro.
If you want the new Air with M1, I'd get at least the 1400 euro. The one for 1200 euro has 1 less GPU core and only 256GB of memory.
