So I wanted to ask how I can shut down Minecraft Java edition so that it works on my old "scrap laptop". Does anyone have any experience?
How about min. 1gb
In any case at least 1GB, 2 free, but would be better.
4GB Ram would be the minimum.
The best thing would be if you had 8GB Ram, because then you can also have Discord or so open
The server software about 200mb-400mb, without plugins.
60mb-100mb per player
Simply calculate.
For example:
10 players = 500mb + (100mb * 10) = 1.5gb
Hm
OK
60mb-100mb
Are you sure?
Was the question about what a Minecraft server eats RAM?
With 10 players about 1.5 GB, as written. I don't understand what you're getting at.
Now I understand
No, I thought it was about servers.
Yes. That is the point.
My (more or less) scrap laptop has 4 GB RAM and it fits, but not recommended. XD
Do you know how to find out how much RAM a computer has?
My (more or less) scrap laptop has exactly 4 GB RAM xD
Simply google | device model | and then | number of RAM |
Yes, that's how it works. But I always do it like this:
Press Windows + X
Click on System
Wait and see under "Device specifications" under "Installed RAM" how much RAM is displayed.
Goes faster, I think.
I didn't know cool
