Do you need a PC for VR or is it also possible to use a laptop? ¿
It all depends on the laptop
Have a MacBookAir
Uff with Macbook Air will be difficult because of the graphics card. As far as I know, VR glasses need a good graphics card, and I don't think your mainboard graphics card can support VR well.
With many glasses you need a special connection that some PCs don't even have
So conclusion: buy a Windows PC with an RTX graphics card (my recommendation)
OK thanks
That depends on which laptop you have. Because there are laptops that have enough power for VR, but there are laptops that will not run well with VR, which unfortunately can also affect your Macbook Air.
Because I don't think that your Macbook Air has a real graphics card integrated that is suitable for VR. So yes, you would most likely have to invest in a good PC that is VR compatible.
Don't even think that your MacBook is suitable for VR.
OK
Alternatively, if you don't want to spend a lot of money, you can buy VR glasses for smartphones and use them on your mobile phone.
We already did but you are not doing well with the thing that I want to do.
Of course, VR glasses for PC are much better than on mobile phones, but for people who either don't have a good PC and don't spend a lot of money, mobile VR glasses are practically better than nothing.
Want to play a game you have to use your mobile phone but typing is not good because then I can only look and nothing else makes no sense either🤣
There's also Handy VR where a Bluetooth controller remote control is also included.
If the CPU / GPU meet the minimum requirements, yes.
But a PC would be better priced.
Or you reach for a standalone (Quest (2) if you can cope with less reading and less choice of games.
And if you are looking for an HMD.
It always depends on the needs. If the HMD corresponds to these, the immersion increases a little more.
Here you can read a little what suits you best.
If you have any other questions, you can contact me via PN or on Steam (Neeru, from Marburg) or Discord (Neeru # 4116).
Best overall package = index
Best picture = Reverb G2
Lowest price = Oculus
Best tracking = Lighthouse Tracking (Vive / Vive Pro / Index / Primax)
Best controller (depending on hands) = Index Knuckles
Best FoV = Primax / Index
Best Plug and Play (after initial setup) = Quest (2) if you use it in standalone
It is not special and most HMDs also have an HDMI so the standard.
And even if it is a DP cable, you can buy an adapter and have to live with a lower data rate.
