Laptop for uni 2020?

I will start studying this winter. At the moment I'm thinking about which aids are used in lectures today. Do you still take laptops and if so can you recommend cheap good models?! Or is a tablet more suitable?

Grad may be a bit overwhelmed.

Mit's cousin uses a laptop, other classmates also use tablets.
