Is the notebook too slow for 1080p YouTube videos?

I watch the YouTube videos via the Chrome browser and the videos run smoothly, but when I open the taskbar or e.g. The Explorer then only goes in slow motion… Hence the question. CPU utilization is around 50 to 80%

Ram bars are installed 1x 4 GB and 1x 2 GB.

I use a 1 TB SSD 860 EVO from Samsung as hard drive.

Hm, shouldn't be a problem. I have almost the same thing with me, I have no problems.

You should exchange the 2 for a 4GB bar to use the full memory in the dual channel. And, if it is not up to date, update the graphics driver. That can make a big difference with the Intel cards.

The latest driver for HD 3000 is a few years old. You don't get anything new for it these days. I guess he already has the "latest" driver.

And yes, a second 4 GB bar would be better, if only from the RAM. Maybe exactly the 2 GB more that I have make up it.

It would be practical if we knew how old he is…

As I said, I have almost the same in me, at least in terms of processor. Intel Core i5 2520m with HD 3000 chip.

The same goes for my Toughbook. A more recent driver could bring some problems with VLC, what Windows brings is not always useful.
