Touchpad mouse pointer jumps when pressing the left mouse button?

I have a laptop with Windows 10 and a touchpad mouse. So far everything has been fine, but the mouse pointer has suddenly been spinning for an hour. But only when I press the left mouse button. The entire remaining surface of the touchpad works as always. But if I press the left mouse button, the mouse pointer jumps uncontrollably somewhere.
