My laptop has 1000GB hdd and 128 GB ssd, why do I only have 100GB?

Can someone help me please, I'm so sad right now… I ordered a laptop from Otto and after a long wait he finally arrived today, I was so happy to transfer my pictures to the large 1000 gigabyte hard drive but I only have one in the memory 100 gigabytes?! Understand that jmd😭😭

It has 2 drives. One with 128 GB (probably under Windows) and one with 1000 GB (probably under Windows). You have to save the photos on D:.

Right-click on the Windows symbol and call up the disk management.

The hard disk may just be missing the drive letter or the hard disk must be initialized and formatted by right-clicking on the corresponding hard disk.

But a 128GB SSD is far too small in my opinion.

First of all, there's a difference between the dates that windows shows and those that are on the package.

There are 2 units of account for hard disk sizes: 1024MB = 1GB, or 1000MB = 1GB. Maybe I confuse the degree, but normally calculates windows in the 1000MB = 1GB principle, while the package works with 1024MB = 1GB.

If you now think that the device only has 100GB of memory available, then there's a problem. First of all, you should go to Windows → Computer and see how many drives you have.

Drive C: / is probably the 128GB SSD. So that thing should show at least 100GB.

Drive D: / should then show around 800GB. If drive D is not shown, there's a hardware or software error. This ranges from a disconnected cable, a partitioning error, to a defective drive.

Please have a look if you have drives C and D, if not, then something is wrong.
