Activate TV how?

How do I activate my television? It is from GRUNDIG and has a built-in cable that is already plugged into the socket. The light glows blue.

The television is connected to a laptop via an HDMI cable, but now when I use the remote control to activate the device, nothing stirs. The television remains in sleep mode. No picture appears.

Who can help?

I'll start out banally, are batteries in the remote control? Full batteries? New devices still have a protective contact between the batteries and the poles of the remote control, which must first be removed.

It would have been great if one had written straight away what kind of Grundig television it is. Grundig doesn't just build a single model.

There's always an option on the device to switch on / off, etc. I always read the operating instructions first.

There were no batteries in the remote control. The problem has been solved. The device is now working.
