I'm looking for a tablet suitable for drawing / illustrating / designing with a pen (does not need to be there, can also buy it if necessary). I myself use Samsung, so Android models would be good.
I already own a Wacom Pad and Clip Studio Paint Pro on my PC / laptop, but I wanted to take a tablet with me when traveling.
No real budget limit, but good quality is very important to me.
Samsung offers with the Galaxy Tab S6 a tablet with stylus. The device uses Android as operating system. Since Android, because of missing software, probably not so well suited for drawing, I would not necessarily recommend it.
Samsung also offers Windows tablets with S-Pen support. These are called Galaxy Book. This should probably be compatible with all programs that are compatible with your Wacom graphics tablet. That's also Windows, you do not have to buy it again.
Otherwise, a Microsoft Surface should e.g. Pro 7 also do the job. Here also Windows is used as operating system.
The pen is already included in the S6 tab. The Galaxy Book, I suspect it too. With the Surface you have to acquire it separately.
Even though I'm not that fanatic of Apple myself, I have to admit that the iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil are really great for drawing. I can't think of any Android tablets with a good digitizer. A Surface Pro could also be in question, the pen is also very good (pressure and tilt sensitive), and it is a Windows machine and tablet at the same time. You could replace your laptop with it, you would not have to take care of two devices, not push your data back and forth, and could, if you want, work directly in programs such as Illustrator or Photoshop.
First choice is the Ipad but with Andriod the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is the best, and the pen is great. The software is a hiccup - but there are some very useful apps:
Autodesk Sketchbook / Medibang / Vectorator
