I'm in the following very annoying situation:
Last month I ordered a pretty expensive laptop. It was then delivered three days ago, two weeks earlier than stated. Since I wasn't at home myself, I only heard the delivery on my cell phone (Hermes). So I went home full of anticipation, but there was no delivery - and no notification from Hermes either. I asked my neighbors and some in the building saw several parcels standing in front of my door, but they weren't there when I arrived. Apparently nobody has taken them.
It's like this: I live in an apartment building. I always close the front door, it should be normal, but it is very often open when I come or go home. I fear that someone came in and took them away. By the way, happened a year ago.
I asked Hermes, but they put me off for now. I'm supposed to wait a few more days, maybe one of the neighbors will have it after all, etc. In addition, of course, I met a huge wave of skepticism when I said what's in it. Sure, with expensive items.
I don't want to cause stress right away, but I don't see any point in sitting around for days and waiting. Do any of you know the problem and how do you think it should best be dealt with? I'm super annoyed for saving on the laptop for so long
Ask Hermes for proof of delivery
If it says delivered and you have no filing approval, I would also submit a complaint directly!
