From my main PC, I can access my NAS as normal, but not from my laptop, when I click on one of the shared folders, I only get an error message that I have no authorization to open it. How can I fix it?
What NAS? Is the folder shared with everyone or only for certain users?
Self-made NAS that runs with Openmediavault. Yes, everyone had access.
Could be caused by the following:
If the folder was first shared with everyone and you accessed it with Windows, the following happens. Windows stores the login information for the server, i.e. The NAS. If you then only share the folder with certain users and want to access it with Windows, Windows takes the previously saved login information. Of course, these are not correct.
To fix this, you have to delete the login information. For this under:
Control Panel \ User Accounts \ Credential Management
Delete the relevant Windows login information.
Thank you very much, I'll give it a try right away
