Remote access to NAS, how?

At school, we configure a NAS, but the problem is that I would like to work from there only on my notebook on the server. Otherwise I always have to take the whole server with me. On the hardware side, everything is ready.

Now I'm looking for a solution, as I can access from the school, on the server, which stands at my home. Remote Control works only in the same network, right? And TeamViewer is an option, but there's nobody there who could accept the request home on the server… Is there a solution?

We're using Windows Server 2019. I'm inexperienced, thank you for your answers!

VNC or

OpenVPN then it is like you are in the same Lan as your Nas.

That depends on the software from the NAS. I have a Synology DiskStation that keeps all the programs ready for it and also a remote access (to the surface), it only needs to be configured correctly. Maybe look for an FTP program for the software of the NAS, that should be the easiest.

The problem will be that you do not have static IP, Synology is running on their servers.
