I connected a second monitor to my laptop via HDMI and selected "Duplicate". Is there now a way to display only one open window PERMANENTLY on the second monitor, even if it is actually minimized? Or a program with which you can do stuff like that?
You have to choose expand then you can simply drag your open pages over to the other screen, duplicate is just to play one screen on the other more so for presentations
I know that, but I want on the "main monitor" e.g. Write a song title in the text editor, which is then displayed on the second monitor for everyone to see. Then I want to minimize the text editor again, and for example open Spotify. Meanwhile, the text editor with the song title should still be visible on the second monitor. "Extend" would not be an option in this case because the second monitor is placed so that I can't look at it.
It works differently but does not duplicate just what you are doing on the pc
