For some years I run on a laptop ASUS K95V a second monitor, a 21 inch Hanns G, over the VGA connection so far without problems.
Now after today's start, the second monitor of the Hanns G remains black and the network control lights are flashing constantly, even if I turn off the monitor by hand, only stops flashing when I turn off the monitor completely, ie. Remove the power cord. Until last night, there were no problems, has worked flawlessly. Laptop was shut down properly without any changes and today since the restart, the monitor remains dark, black. There are no reports or anything else.
I have already disconnected and reconnected to the laptop, put Windows back on a monitor, and then assigned Windows the second monitor. The system was shut down several times and restarted. Turn off the monitor by hand and turn it back on, completely de-energized, ie. Power drawn.
All this does not help, the second monitor stays black and the network control flashes.
Where could the problem be? I guess once the monitor has given up its mind, is broken. Am I correct in my assumption, or can it be other problems?
Maybe the monitor has a defect? Maybe you can test it on another device.
