Which laptop for programming?

I would like to have an opinion about which laptop, for example, developers would prefer if they could buy a laptop of their choice right now.

What I mean by that: Money doesn't matter as long as the quality is right. I want something that will last, be of high quality and not have any trash.

It should also be a Windows machine. Although I already like the new generation from Apple. But since I'm mainly in the .NET environment, I would not call that targeting.

It doesn't matter you can program well with almost any laptop of the last 5 years

ce

It doesn't matter, the main thing is 64 bit and enough RAM

Here with us is the DELL, since the on-site support worked perfectly and the devices are considered "robust" and not susceptible to interference - we have almost 40 laptops here and only 2 had a defect that was covered by the "warranty" On-site repairs were fixed free of charge.

Yes that's right.

It's great that you are talking about Dells, because I had my eye on one of those next. But have a few questions about it:

I find this carbon coating to be vulnerable. As far as scratches, dirt and abrasion are concerned. Is that correct? I even read that the surface peels off like that.
The speakers are to the left and right of the keyboard. Doesn't dirt and dust get into the small openings over time?
I read that the beasts get hot, what's your experience?

Which spec would you recommend? One with a dedicated graphics card or one without? 13 inches or 15 inches?

Gr

We in service use "standard devices" of the DELL https://www.dell.com/...op/cn55213
Mostly with integrated graphics, since we don't have any "gimmicks" with them.
I personally have an ACER ASPIRE A517 with 8GB RAM, Intel-I7 and 1T SSD, because I also use it for graphic applications.

Do you also have experience with the Dell XPS series?

Gr

Not me, because of framework agreements we have the "Inspiron" line.
