Which processor is the right Intel?

I would like to buy a barebone pc or an Intel Nuc. Sure, you shouldn't hope for much, but the thing should run smoothly and not jerky all the time. So my question is which processor is the right one here now? Is a better squad that is older or a dual where something is "new"?

comparable had a laptop with Quad Core i5 with 2.30GHz. That would actually be my wish for this barebone. But are very expensive unfortunately:-(

Intel® Core ™ i3 7100U clock frequency 2x 2.40 GHz

Intel Pentium® Silver J5005 clock frequency 4x 1.50 GHz

Well… It is important that you take the CPU that meets your requirements. Otherwise, with as little power consumption as possible. Because of the cooling.

It also depends on what you want to do with the PC.

Wh

Yes it does. But where does the quad have the same performance as a dual from i3?

wants to make Office work, surf the Internet and watch videos on YouTube.

the thing should at least run smoothly, I don't want more.

The choice, hardship against misery.

Would take away the misery the i3-7100t / u

Hmm…

As an alternative to the NUC, a Mini PC.

For example:

Then replace the CPU with an i5-4670t.

It depends on the applications whether and how many cores they need.

For what you want to do, a single core is actually enough.

The Pentium Silver or Gold should be interesting.

Low power consumption and enough power for your applications.

Jo

I would also take the i3 in your place…

However, a single core will not guarantee a really smooth operation. I also have an old Intel dualcore in my laptop. And in between the two cute cores are pretty quickly fully utilized. In such situations, the user interface does get stuck.

For what you want to do, a single core is actually enough.

Un

Yes, yes.
