After I tried to delete an icon on my desktop, it can no longer be used since I right-clicked it; means I can't click anything anymore. The taskbar still works (except for Explorer, there I can click on it as long as I want and nothing happens). After about 5 minutes, all symbols become white symbols.
I also have the problem that my task manager shows me that 3.5 GB of RAM are used, but I don't know what. According to the diagram, the CPU and GPU are fully utilized for a very short time.
Now my question is: what's going on and how can I get my laptop back in order? (At best WITHOUT setting up the PC again. I have saved the most important data, but setting it up again would not be the first choice)
PS: Could the problem in the question I asked earlier have something to do with it?
And if that works in any way, the only thing I did today with the PC was Discord and online schooling.
Please help me quickly, because I need the PC for school and I don't have the money for a new one.
You can bring the computer to a state before the problem occurred by running system restore. Your computer creates so-called system restore points from time to time and when programs are installed, which enable the system to be reconstructed without affecting your personal data. The easiest way to do this is to use the rstrui command. After waiting for a while and displaying an info box, you can choose a suitable time. You can optionally display which programs are affected. Make a note of these programs so that you can reinstall them if necessary or to find the source of the error.
Solution
-Task Manager open
-Search Windows Explorer
-right click and then on the point: restart
The computer protection is apparently deactivated, so unfortunately I can't do that.
Thanks, my desktop works again, but the problem repeats itself as soon as I right-click on an icon. The Explorer icon in my taskbar is still dead and I can't get into my files.
