I very often use the Remote Desktop connection to access the desktop with the laptop in the office.
Unfortunately, since a motherboard exchange, the remote desktop connection no longer works. The desktop is still running the same Windows 7 as before the conversion.
Funnily, I can still access the desktop with the Remote Desktop Client for Android.
Windows 10 is running on the laptop and the desktop has Windows 7. Another laptop with Windows XP did not work anymore.
What could have changed here that the remote connection does not work anymore?
The changeover may cause old system settings to be lost. Therefore, you should first check whether in the system properties of the office PC on the "Remote" tab Remote Desktop Support is still allowed.
I already checked that. Is everything set correctly?
That I can access the PC with the Android client actually means that it should work…
