I have a laptop with Windows 10. The problem was that it took 5 minutes to start up, and I was asked to reinstall Windows once.
No sooner said than done, but no improvement in sight, it still takes forever to start.
Then I suspected the hard drive, now I've installed another hard drive here and this one.
The problem persists, it takes 5 minutes until the screen comes on and I get into the BIOS.
What could be the problem and can the device still be saved?
I suspect that the device is very old in general. Right?
Try it out with a small SSD. This should drastically reduce the Windows boot time. These things don't really cost much anymore.
The device is about 2 years old, there's an SSD built in, I thought it would be defective, but the boot time does not change with a different hard drive
You could try to set your BIOS to UEFI if you have it,
on the other hand, it could be that you still have many programs on autostart, you can change this under the task manager.
