A buddy has given me a laptop that brings about 1 minute after boot up the start noise. The laptop is a fujitsu Siemens lifebook s series
RAM 8gb. Intel i5, 1st gen? , 500gb hdd according to chrystaldisk good.
There's an urgent need for defragmentation and mucking out, the system…
It's best to buy a new, larger disk and then reinstall Windows. The old record comes in an external case and from there your friend can get all the old data he needs…
With a Windows 7 notebook that's been in use all the time, I would not find 1 MIN of startup time too unusual.
Over the years, a lot of updates and other drivers were added small arm and the hard drive is certainly a bit fragmented.
I would either put the PC fresh and see if it works better then. Or if that is not enough times install an SSD.
After a defect, however, your description does not sound. But with old notebooks also calm times the dust from the ventilation remove.
The first picture indicates that updates will be installed at startup. Maybe the laptop was in the update backlog and now it takes some time and probably a few times the boot process, until it is "normal" again.
You can look under "Windows update" the update history, if that coincides with your startup problems in time.
You can think about the other tips as well.
