Since I urgently have to write applications and need Word for this, I actually intended to use the trial version for a month as soon as the newly ordered laptop arrived.
Now, an advertisement has jumped on Instagram, which I unfortunately went into:
Office Standard 2019 for 5.49 euro.
Since I have such a stupid feeling all the time, I had to google and there it is written that the used licenses are the resold - some mean legal, gray area or even illegal with up to 600 euro penalty.
My question now: I haven't touched any of these download links yet. Can I simply delete the email? You can keep the 6 euro because of me, I just don't want to do anything illegal. : /
Sure, it would be illegal to use a used license, not to exchange mail with someone.
Why don't you use LibreOffice for the applications? It is free and similarly good. If you are concerned about compatibility problems, export the documents as PDF files, this is common practice anyway. A PDF file looks the same on every system, whether it was created with Word or Writer.
Copy the money and just use LibreOffice as suggested by PhotonX. It is common for applications to send PDFs anyway and in the end no one can tell whether they were created with Microsoft Office or with LibreOffice.
