If I download and save gifs on my laptop (xxxx.gif, under 'all files') and then send them to my mobile phone, I can only download them as images. The gif is shown, I can only download a random image from the gif.
How can I download the gif and which steps do I have to take when sending or saving?
The problem isn't downloading, it's always viewing.
Animated GIFs of type 89a contain all individual images plus information about the display (interval and repetitions). But that is only displayed in suitable programs. It works in the browser, but does not work in many image editing apps.
And how do I get it from my laptop to my mobile phone or how can I send it via Instagram?
Just like any other file. Whether the recipient can then see it as desired depends on their device and apps.
