Intel Pentium 3550M is automatically downclocked to 1.69 GHz?

Yesterday I was forced (Windows 10 halt) got a new update (Was not even there) and my laptop has restarted, then I happen to see in the Task Manager, that I got 2.3 GHz as usual the 1.69 GHz Only now, after about a day, I had the 1.69GHz again, so I restarted searching for a limitation in the BIOS, but did not find anything. Wanted to check the internet again And then I see that I have 2.3GHz again! What's going on? Is the CPU overheating when it goes into 1.69GHz mode? And no, it has never attracted at load, and from one I do not know any limitations - the laptop has never been as good as yesterday in at least 6 years.

Operating system is written as Windows 10 with the latest update

RAM 4GB

CPU Intel Pentium 3550M 2.3 GHz (basic speed)

GPU: In Pentium here

Could be that she is too hot. Download yourself (https://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/) and measure the temperature.

Have sisoftware. The measures at the moment (2.3 GHz) 58 degrees. But before that at 1.69 GHz, it was never more like 65-66 degrees

This is sometimes indicated in the taskmanager. I have had the same problem. Download msi afterburner. So you can read all the clock frequencies. These are the real ones. If you want more ghz you can put it in high-level mode. There's in the system tax at energy options. When balanced (standard), it automatically adjusts from si h when it is not needed.

OK. But I do not think that the speed is displayed incorrectly because I (as written) never had such a performance. But I'll try, thanks

I thought that too ciht with me. I have overclocked the CPU but in the taskmanager immernoc was the same ghz number. Nevertheless, I h had more fps in games. Since I then looked at msi afterburner and there stood because I was at 4.8 GHz and not in the basecloxk

Could anything be wrong with energy options in Windows? Have you ever tried to put these on top performance?
You can find the power options either if you are looking for them directly (press the Win key → "Energy…") then it should be suggested, or through Control Panel → System and Security → Power Options

Otherwise it could still be because of temperatures, but what I have read from your comment is inconspicuous and were in the green.

When I press battery, energy status comes up: best performance. That's the way it always is

I think we speak of different menus. Look here and follow the steps with you:

http://techfrage.de/question/10572/windows-10-energieeinstellungen-offnen/

and once there select the option "maximum power", then the maximum power should be available.

For permanent condition, I would recommend the option "Balanced", due to battery life and automatic regulation of performance.

I wanted to write this 5 minutes ago, but my Internet connection was intervened: I looked in the control panel and there was only balanced in it. Have now set to maximum performance and let's see what happens (or did not happen)
