I don't have a TV, I use my laptop to netflix. With Corona, I have more time than I would like and am considering upgrading: a bigger solution should be found.
Can I access the Internet with any TV these days? Or do I have to connect a separate screen to the laptop?
(I have neither cable TV, satellite, nor DSL, but go online with data flat rate via cellular network.)
Actually, every television now has the ability to connect to the Internet and start Netflix. But I wouldn't say anybody. However, you can still look it up in the product specifications.
There are Smart TVs, but I'm not very familiar with them.
I would recommend you to transfer the MacBook with Hdmi. For example, you can watch Netflix, Youtube etc. On an external screen.
For whatever reason, you can't stream through Safari on a MacBook, Netflix, and other streaming providers. (Then comes an error message) That's why I mainly use the Google Chrome browser for Hdmi. Everything works fine with that.
