So… I've already googled and found nothing, so I'm going to contact you now.
I just wanted to have a complete check carried out by my PC and noticed that Internet Security etc. Is still there but this red K for Kaspersky is missing, I can't find it in the files or via the Windoof button, it's just gone…
Now I wanted to download a trial version from Kaspersky, because I thought if it connects (with my Kaspersky account) everything will be there again but nope… It said that there was a valid license and if I installed it, it will disappear… Yes, completely great, I bought Kaspersky as a CD 4 or 5 years ago, no idea where the package is and whether I still have it, for the code in there…
And the thing is, my laptop is just gone from my laptop and can no longer be found…
Does anyone know how I can get there now? Kaspersky isn't exactly cheap either… I don't really want to buy it again unnecessarily…
You honestly don't even need it. Windows Defender is enough if you are not completely stupid and dismisses all warnings…
I have one or the other problem with my laptop and always had the feeling that if I ran a complete check from Kaspersky it ran better afterwards…
And my mom would also like to get the program back, and we have already paid for it, so I would like to continue using it
Well…
Feelings are the new facts. Better try with placebo…
Because you also pay something…
Friendly… I just asked something and don't want to throw money out of the window, if you have so much give me something, otherwise just go because I would like the program again…
I do not have much money. I just wanted to point out that contrary to your feelings Kapersky doesn't make a PC faster. This is only because the PC becomes faster again when the check is completed. Because you didn't even look, like The load on the hard drive and so on, I wanted to show you the comparison with placebo. Because that's Kapersky in this case. It makes the PC a little slower and costs money and ultimately does nothing. Look for surveys here on this bad platform about the best virus programs.
The red k was seen in older versions. It may be that Kaspersky has made an update and that you only have to redefine in the taskbar settings that the Kaspersky icon is always visible. I already had that. The newer versions have a green hexagon or sign, and if your license is valid you can download and install it. Remove the old program with the tool "kavremove" or similar, leave the license with it (you will be asked for this during the process), then restart, clean the registry and then install the new version. This is better protection than an old version.
I have 3 hexagons and the fourth (the red K) is missing
there are secure payments, Internet Security and Secure Connection and if I look in the settings etc and run the search only the three come and Total Security is gone
on the Kaspersky website I would have to buy it again or use the trial version that says "You have a valid license for Kaspersky Internet Security. Kaspersky Total Security can't be activated with this license, but you can use it to protect another device."
Can I go ahead or does it only make it more complicated?
Well, this is over, if you have something useful to say about my problem, otherwise just leave it alone…
You may not like Kaspersky, but I paid for it, and I will continue to use it
I don't know this configuration, but if there are three hexagons, Kaspersky is probably installed. In the Control Panel you can also find this under Programs. If it is installed, I would look in Windows in the two folders for programs where Kaspersky is. When you have found it, right click on the corresponding exe file for the program start and choose Send, Desktop, Create shortcut. Then you have it on the desktop. If that doesn't work: it doesn't harm, the link can be deleted without any danger. But as I said, maybe you just have to reconfigure your taskbar. I would try that first.
Kaspersky is not there… I was looking for where to uninstall and there are only the hexagons and no Kaspersky Total Security, it is gone
All the better…
We found it, it is no longer called Total Security, but is now probably related to Internet Security and that does not work for me, I have to reinstall it, on my laptop there was no error message when we got everything from Kaspersky have opened
You have installed Internet Security for which your license is valid. So everything is okay! Total Security is simply another Kaspersky program (more expensive), your license does not apply to it, and you don't need that.
I just wrote that too.
Thank you anyway.
Was a little confused because of the error messages I received.
Let's see whether it is done afterwards with a restart or has to be reinstalled ^^
