Burn a DVD without a DVD slot?

Hi, I'd like to burn a DVD, but I don't have a slot on my current PC. My old laptop, however. Only it is quite slow and it is more complicated to start it again and do everything on it.

My question: Can I somehow "connect" the two PC's so that I could "control" the old one from the new one or something? I hope you understand what I mean and can help me.

En

No you can't

Pity.

Buy an external burner

Cost a few euro

Re

If you want to burn more often, buy an external burner. They are not that expensive anymore today.

Sure, but since I have a laptop with a burner anyway, not the smartest idea for me

Dr

No, it doesn't work that way.

However, if the drive in your laptop is relatively easy to remove (this is usually the case) and has a SATA interface

you could hang it with the appropriate cables (which cost almost nothing) directly to an interface on your PC mainboard and use it like an internal drive.

This is pretty makeshift and uncomfortable, but it works.

Everything from the "/ ref" is advertising. For a better overview:

Re

Sorry, I have shown the same burner, what's the point?

Normally, an old and slow laptop should also be able to handle a burning program. But somehow the PCs can't be connected.

Then you still have 2 cheap options. The most sensible would be an external DVD burner. They are available from 20 euro. If you now have more expensive internal Bluray burners, you can recommend such adapters with which you can also use internal drives externally.

That was only related to the link.
Yours had 532 characters and mine 36 although both lead to the same goal.

Just wanted to note that, because such long links are always totally confusing and unattractive. Everything cool.

Here it is not a question of beauty, but of benefit. Everything OK.

Yes, because otherwise you just have to paint them ^^

The PC can't control your laptop
