USB stick does not play music anymore?

I have a little problem with my freestyle (figure skating). And I tried to pull my music on the laptop onto two USB sticks (I also tried to burn it with a CD, but that did not work either). The problem with USB sticks and CD is actually the same. The laptop shows that the music is on it and it is also played. But I've tried it on both my home plant and the rink complex, and it always says it's not worth it.
I had used the USB sticks before last year, I just brought my old music down and made the new one. The CD was from a pack we had bought, and of which I've used one before to burn music. That too worked at that time.

I also tried to delete the new music again from the USB sticks and pull it again, but again without success.
For the CDs, of course, I have tried several of the blanks, because I thought that it is probably s.der a CD.

I do not know if in the meantime, in the meantime, when I did not have to burn music or draw on USB sticks, I accidentally changed a setting on the laptop, all I know is that it was before and not anymore. I do not know anything about this stuff. The laptop is also the same as the one I used last year.

Maybe someone here knows about it. In an emergency, I can also ask friends if they could burn that for me or my trainer, but it just makes me crazy that it just can't work anymore. I just do not understand why that worked before and not anymore.

I did not do anything different than before, when I tried to put my music on the USB sticks or burn it to the CD. At least not that I know. Maybe I came up with a wrong button or something, I do not know.

Hopefully someone here has an idea of what the problem could be.

Music systems usually only recognize .wav files. In what file format did you copy them to the USB stick? If it's normal Mp3 files, most attachments can't read them unless your computer.

Did you burn the CD as an audio CD or as a data CD? Audio CD would be right.

Where did you get that piece of music from? Ripped from a CD or from Spotify or something?
