New external hard drive is not recognized, who knows what advice?

I ordered a WD Elements desktop with 4TB of storage last week. This connected - did not work. Well then - umd to exclude various sources of error, I have the hard drive connected to my laptop and Zack - worked flawlessly. Now I've tried a variety of USB ports on the computer - whether USB 2.0 or 3.0 always the same result… Hard drive is not recognized - no - not even in the device management. I have s.Calculator another WD hard drive with 1.5 TB connected… Have these already unplugged and only had the new plugged in… Brought nothing.

My question to you - are there any drivers that make my life easier? Or do you have a solution?

Ha

Did you have the power adapter connected? Which operating system?

It could possibly be faulty drivers for your motherboard or slots. Thus your computer does not recognize the external HDD.

Try something else to connect. Example a memory stick, mouse with Bluetooth plug.
If this works, then I would not know at the moment.

But if everything does not work, then my first consideration is obvious.

Of course… So I'm not amateur = D

Everything works… I still have to try the driver, thanks
