Where does the additional 2GB of RAM come from

Are my settings correct? I installed 2x 8GB, the point assured me irritated. Is the laptop still using RAM from the hard drive or from a graphics card?

Windows uses a swap file that is on the normal hard drive and is therefore slower than the real RAM. This should simply relieve the correct RAM when it is fully in use.

The size is dynamic, but you can also set a maximum size or remove it entirely.

The "guaranteed" size you see is simply your RAM + the size of your swap file.
