My PC broke down just over two months ago.
Now I got the idea today to buy a graphics adapter for my laptop which is not more expensive than 25 euro and a power adapter that you can plug into the socket.
Do you have recommendations? The adapter must not be too fat, because I do not want to break anything on my laptop, because I like to use it in the living room.
I also know something.
With 25 euro you will not get far…
Does your laptop even have Thunderbolt?
For a video card you need a PCIe connection, which is i.d.R. Realized over Thunderbolt3 (with drawbacks, since one has only four PCIe lanes available).
In addition to the TB3 connection you need an eGPU docking station / case, which usually cost a few hundred euro even without a GPU.
There are still alternative DIY solutions that do not really have practical uses.
Since WLAN cards are usually connected via 4xPCIe in the laptop, it is possible to expand the card and connect an adapter to 16xPCIe. You would also need a power supply that you would have to short with each start (https://logbuch.dmaertens.de/elektronik-hardware/pc-netzteil-kurzschliessen) but also this solution (assuming you already have a power adapter and a graphics card) costs more than 25 euro (for example, here: https://de.gearbest.com/laptop-accessories/pp_229102.html?wid=1433363¤cy=EUR&vip=15941386
I would strongly advise you against this solution, you have no internet connection, if the graphics card is plugged in, you have roughly 20% (depending on the card) performance degradation, you can only play with the laptop open and you have to short-circuit your power supply each time. A workable solution looks different.
