My Sony vaio laptop screen remains black. The ventilation and LEDs work. At the bottom left is the standby sign, battery and to the right is another one. The symbol flashes (bright) orange. What is that symbol? Can someone help me?
Hard disk. If it flashes, a disk / SSD access is taking place. Or at least try…
Thanks, do you have any tips on what I could do to make the screen work again? Should be win 10
It is hardly possible to name causes on this basis. Connect power to exclude the battery as a source of error, switch on and see if the BIOS image comes at least once. But something will be wrong, and before the bug is found and fixed, I'll give you bad cards.
It may even be that the computer is running normally (Win10 repeatedly accesses the disk), but the screen or the cable to the screen is over, so you see nothing.
Already tried, no picture at all
That speaks for my last theory. The screen is typically connected to the mainboard via a ribbon cable. This can slip out due to the folding movements, and the display is then no longer connected and you can no longer see anything. But nothing else helps than the way to a knowledgeable person who looks at it.
