My Windows 10 laptop hung up.
When I restarted it, my taskbar looked like this: See picture.
How do I get them back to normal size?
Didn't find anything in the system tray settings.
Right-click on the taskbar and deselect "Freeze taskbar" (if selected). Then grasp the upper edge of the taskbar and pull it down.
At the edge you get an arrow symbol with the mouse, you click on it and stay on the mouse button and drag it up or down as you like
Right-click on a free space, then select "Fix the taskbar" (if there's no tick in front of it, it is already "free), then just grab the edge at the top and pull it down… Then fix the taskbar

"Change the height…" click once…
Right click on the taskbar> disable freeze
Move the mouse pointer to the top edge of the taskbar, drag it to the desired size using the left button and move the mouse.
By the way: position the mouse pointer on the taskbar, press the left button and drag the taskbar to the left, right, top or bottom edge
At the end fix the taskbar again (no unwanted accidental adjustments)
