My laptop Samsung 700G7A can only be used in safe mode for more than two years.
So far I thought that the graphics card was broken. After watching a video today that shows that this is most likely not the case, I want to know what else could be to blame for the laptop only booting up in safe mode.
Can someone help me there?
PS: For example, high-resolution images in PDF are also shown in razor-sharp detail.
Just reinstall?
Reinstall?
I don't know exactly what the problem is, but I know what I would do: Start a Linux (Ubuntu, Mint, DSL, etc.) live and see what happens.
With USB boot?
Via USB stick or DVD.
Don't you have a friend who can look at it? In addition, there are PC aids in many places, etc. Do you 'live' with it for two years? It would have annoyed me on the first day and I would have remedied it.
Thank you! With Ubuntu, where can I find the appropriate software?
Download the image and put it on DVD or stick.
Unfortunately not. Yes, but they say it's not worth it. Since then I have been using a less powerful office notebook.
How old is the part?
Young is different: 2011, but would still be very good at what I needed it for.
Seek professional help, you can also place an ad on ebay classified ads, then someone from the area could help you.
Professional help? So ask an IT psychologist for advice? All right, thanks a lot for the recommendation, my Läpi is aimed at you!
I have now received a stick with Ubuntu Windows 10 from my neighbor. Should or should the booting work in any case or could something seriously go wrong if I also installed the original hard disks with Windows 7 and all kinds of personal data in the system at the same time?
And how exactly do I choose the stick for booting, in the BIOS or elsewhere?
Usually the boot order is selected in the BIOS. After booting, a small list of options appears, whether you want to try Ubuntu first or install it straight away. Take a look at it first. You can then install directly from the Live.System. You have the choice whether you e.g. Want to install in addition to Windows and can therefore access both systems as required. The installation itself runs foolproof on a graphical user interface.
