I would like to upgrade the RAM of the Acer Aspire 5741g from ddr3 so-dimm 2 × 2gb 1333mhz to 2 × 4gb. Is it an advantage if I buy a ram with a higher clock rate, or is that even possible? Do I have to do anything else?
No, that doesn't do much for laptops. Capacity upgrade brings more
Depends on your notebook. Usually a latch is soldered, i.e. You can only swap the second one, which then runs at the speed of the soldered.
OK, look, both are not soldered. Just have to check which frequency the notebook supports. But it doesn't bring much, only a few% are in the benchmark.
Okay thanks for the quick reply.
