I'm currently working on a job and have created a relatively simple After Effects animation for this… In this one, 16 compositions containing videos fly together in a kind of mosaic. I'm working on an Acer Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop with one
I7-9750h 2.6ghz - 4.5ghz Turbo Boost
Rtx 2070 Max Q 8Gb Vram
32GB RAM ddr4
2x 1tb ssd nvme
This is connected to a Ben q pd2700u monitor.
The cache of after effects and Premiere are on the 2nd SSD and each have 200 GB available
Now the problem: as soon as I try to render the animations via the media encoder, after a few minutes there's either an error message that says nothing in my opinion or my screens alternately show black every second or the external monitor shows nothing and does not get any Input more and all Adobe programs are closed, I have a graphics error with the laptop monitor and the graphics drivers are supposedly not up to date, which they are after a restart. With the After Effects renderer I have the same problem. If I cut the composition from After Effects directly into Premiere and then rausrender it, I have the same problem. Rendering other animations and videos is no problem at all… And all games such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla run on high at 50fps without problems… And otherwise there are NO problems with the PC. I've never had anything like this in my 4 years of experience with After Effects and Premiere… I'm desperate right now and can't help myself anymore. Especially because the job should be ready on the 24th. I would be very happy about any helpful answer.
Have you ever tried not to do it through the media encoder? Simply with "add to the render list" and then render in AE yourself?
Otherwise it often helps to export an image sequence, which is then imported again and then rendered as a film.
A small workaround: You get an error message with the affected frame. You can put it as a snapshot over the animation and delete the part underneath. That works mostly. You should then save the project as a copy.
Did you use plugins, templates or other programs / templates?
I'm not aware of these errors.
A video with so few elements shouldn't bring your computer to its knees.
No, I made this animation completely in vanilla itself…
I thought to myself too…
Habs already tried to render in AE and had the same problem.
But I'll try the other, thank you.
