I would like to buy a new notebook and I'm particularly interested in the Acer Swift 3. There are several variants, including the processor, and I don't know which one to use. One has the i5-1135G7 (and i5-1035G4) the other is the i7-1065G7.
Which one is better? The i7 costs 100 euro more. Is it worth saving the 100 euro? Does this i7 still offer more than this i5 even though it is older?
There's also the version of this notebook with an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor. I don't know how to compare AMD with Intel, or whether this processor is good at all.
So when you look through it quickly:
The Intel Core i5 offers…
more clock per core
more cache
higher quality manufacturing process
has the same number of cores / threads
higher performance rating
more points in Cinebench R15
higher TDP than the Core i7 (consumes more power)
The bottom line is that you can save 100 euro purely on the CPU. The AMD Ryzen 5 4500U is a tick faster than the Intel Core i5 in some scenarios.
The Ryzen.
The Ryzen 5 is even better than the i7? 😳😳 Wow thanks
I just read that there's even 4700U with the Ryzen 7 😳 is that even better than the Ryzen 5 or not necessarily?
