Gaming laptop jerky at Fortnite?

I have a new gaming laptop (Acer Nitro 5) today and installed Fortnite right away. I played on the iPhone or iPad before, went wonderfully. As a precaution, I set all Fortnite settings to Medium, before I watched videos on YouTube of the SAME laptop with the SAME components, where the game ran smoothly in the highest settings! What can that be?

I'm super disappointed, I spent a lot of money and Fortnite doesn't even get it down to low settings without it jerky!

Here's the data:

- WD Blue 3D NAND 500GB SATA-SSD M.2 2280 6GB / s

1000 GB SATA hard drive (on which the game is installed, can it be because of it?)

- 8th generation Intel Core I5-8300H Coffee Lake architecture

@ 2.3GHz / 4.0GHz Boost, 14Nm manufacturing, CoolBoost Technology, HyperThreading and UHD 630 graphics

- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 4GB GDDR5

- 16 GB DDR4 memory

The problem may be with the internet connection. If not, I would update the driver.
