Laptop hangs at irregular intervals?

I'm desperate!

I have had an extreme problem with my laptop for about 3 days.

That came over night. Suddenly nothing worked. I own an Acer, which is exactly what I don't know right now. Windows 10.

The desktop freezes for about 5 minutes. I can move my mouse, but it doesn't work. Everything I do in time comes back after a few minutes, that means if I do the program I'm currently using, it only happens after the desktop is no longer frozen.
In between there's an error message from Windows that something can't be executed. It is gone again when the laptop is no longer frozen. Every now and then the screen turns completely black (mostly only when I start it up). Then I have to wait forever again until everything is visible.

I've tried just about everything. I did it every now and then, ran a virus check for over 8 hours just to find out that there were no viruses, checked with Task Manager whether something was running in the background, turned off a program that was consuming too much CPU… Nothing. Absolutely. Nothing at all.

I'm desperate.
