You could have the display change (what the… Did you do with the display? Did you press it too hard?). But it could be that it is not economical, so that a new notebook is cheaper.

It can of course also be an aging problem that the seal has become leaky somewhere in the substrate. But maybe pressed too hard somewhere.
If the device is 8… 9 years old, then it is possible that the manufacturer no longer offers any spare parts for it.
If it was a very expensive device at the time, whose performance data would still be usable today without any problems, then I would have an offer made at a specialist workshop, which would cost a repair.
