I want to buy a 4k monitor from the Christmas bonus at the beginning of January 2019. My laptop is an ASUS Gamer laptop GL503VM with an Nvidia Geforce 1060 GTX graphics card laptop built in 2017. The laptop itself has a FullHD screen.

Now my question is. Would this 4k PC monitor

also work from ASUS on my gamer laptop and can I do so with the program OBS videos and streams in 4k resolution? It would be important to know, because I do not want to pay 600 euro for nothing.

A gtx 1060 is not necessarily sufficient for 4k… Especially if you have only 3gb anyway not in the 6gb variant is synonymous but rather difficult, and record in 4k you can directly forget. And in games you would have a gaming laptotp with a gtx 1060 that probably has an approximate equivalent cpu low low fps anyway. So if you play with the monitor shooter or other game the competetive are by no means.

4K makes for gaming in general (still) no sense, especially with a GTX 1060 not.

The 3GB versions of the GTX 1060 are extremely rare in laptops.

Nevertheless not to be excluded and I meant so only for the case, I have basically assumed in my answer that it is a 6gb

If you connect an external monitor to the notebook halves the Frames.ist halt with me with a RX580 in the notebook so. And that at FullHD then you can completely forget about 4k.hab also tried WQHD and since the games are not playable because too low FPS and huge collapses
