I'm just on my Asus laptop with the settings under Windows Update. Here are 7 updates listed. The first one from the top is behind the status: Initalized… But nothing is happening. The others say "Pending installation" but nothing is happening there either. What can I do so that the updates are finally completed.
First solution: Restart
Then look again and, if you have not already done so, try again with an internet connection to check for updates and download new ones

As an inexperienced user you should just wait. Updates to WIN 10 sometimes take hours, depending on the Internet connection, Wi-Fi. Connect the laptop via cable, then it goes a little faster. It should be possible no more computers on the network and no other programs are open.
Also, the connection to the Microsoft servers is often heavily overloaded, so that updates take longer. For me it took over 5 hours until everything was installed.
